Music Together Review & Giveaway

{Alexa gives Music Together a thumbs up!}

Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement program for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners and the adults that love them. First offered to the public in 1987, it pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement.

Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning.

My family and I received the 3 Music Together CD's, Family Favorites 1, Family Favorites 2 and Lullabies to review. The songs on the CD's are a collaboration of favorites that are implemented into the Music Together classes.

Music is so huge in our house. The radio/CD player is on all the time and my girls are always singing along and dancing to the tunes. So, when we received these great Music Together CD's in the mail, they were very excited to pop them into their music box and sing and dance along. They started dancing around the room right away and it didn't take them long to learn the words of the songs and sing along. Inside the Music Together CD is a book that suggests different activities to do with your children for each song. I personally like this as it is another way to explore music in a different way with my girls. They of course create their own dances and movements, but this allows them to think of and try something different that wouldn't normally imagine themselves.

We also like all the varieties of instruments used in each song (guitar, bass, flute, percussion..ect). It's a fun way to learn about new instruments and try to guess what they are using to make certain sounds. I also like that the songs are sung in a tone that is in range for children, so it's easy for them to join in and sing along.

Although it is fun to sing and dance to the Family Favorite's, we especially like the Lullabies CD. I turn it on for my girls as they are getting ready for bed and they continue to listen as they fall asleep. Sometimes I hear them quietly humming along to the music as they're drifting off to sleep. The music and words are so calming.

I gave the Music Together Family Favorite's 2 CD to my nephew for Christmas. I am sure he is getting as much enjoyment out of it as we have.

I strongly recommend these wonderful Music Together CD's for any family with children, preschool's, childcare centers, Sunday schools..ect.

Music Together's song collections are research-based and artistically conceived and produced. They are also classroom and family tested. Click here to listen to some samples of the music, including The Hello Song which is featured on both Family Favorite CD's.
