remember december

Today is the first day of my fave month, December. This month is always special to me. Many joyful things happened (or will happen) in every December. So, let’s see what will happen to me in this 2009 December:

1. Don't know the date, but it must be this month. I'm waiting for a letter from the Australian Development Scholarship. Either i will be accepted or not, they will send me the letter. I've gotten the letter last year and it said "No". Which one will i get this year? whatever it is, i will take that with joyful =)
2. Two friends are getting married this weekend. Two parties in two days, this my own record so far. Have prepared what will i wear for those two and i'm so exited to see their celebration of love.
3. Rain, gloomy, rain and gloomy! What a perfect weather for me. Will often enjoy those two in my frontyard with hot milk, happy-tos and Christmas songs, perfect!
4. My birthday (yey!!!). I will turn 25 twenty days later. People says that a men will show his real character when they turn 25. Will i? well, let's see =)
5. Christmas celebration. Snowfall will make this perfect moment become more perfect (lol). The songs, the clarity, the atmosphere, and the celebration itself!!! My Church will have a celebration on 20th containing drama, music performance, and many more!

Still plenty of fun besides that five. I will tell u every joy i'll experience in thousand sunny =)

-december is always be remembered-

Rudolph

I had a meeting at church last Monday, and Caleb went with me. He was playing fairly nicely while I was discussing all things Awana nearby. We were meeting in a big room that we use for lots of children's functions, and it afforded plenty of room for Caleb to run around and play.

There is a small stage at the front of the room with a ramp coming down either side of the stage. I told Caleb he was not allowed on the stage, but I guess it proved too tempting for him. He went up on the stage while pushing a toy grocery cart. He came down the ramp from the stage...and tripped, toppling over the cart and smashing his face into the carpet. I saw it happen, and I ran over to help him. He was crying hard, and his biggest injury seemed to be a bloody, busted lip. But over the next few hours, I saw the big, red carpet burn start to appear on his nose.

It actually looks better in the picture than it did in person. It was horrible looking! Everywhere he went, people would stare at him and ask him what happened. Scott kept calling him "Rudolph." Now, a week later, it is still red but much smaller. Poor thing. Could have been worse, though! He just looked a little funny for his birthday pictures.

Caleb's Preschool Thanksgiving Party

We went up to Caleb's school last week for his class Thanksgiving party. His teachers are SO creative and craftsy, it is unbelievable. Caleb comes home every week with some incredibly imaginative art project. For this party, the teachers had things set up for the kids to make turkeys...out of apples, marshmallows, and raisins. Who'd a thunk it?

Here is Scott helping Caleb with his "turkey."

Here's the finished product. I thought we had a better picture of it, but evidently the only one we got was one that Caleb took while Scott was teaching him how to use the camera. :)

That poor turkey lost his left eye shortly after this picture was taken. Little brother got hungry for that raisin, I suppose!

Here is Caleb eating...very little. Most of the food on his plate went untouched.

Isaac ended up sitting up at the table with the "big" kids and joining right in at the meal!

When we left the church (that's where Caleb's school is), Isaac started running in the little courtyard out front and was having such a good time that I decided to snap a few pictures.

One of those "UGH!" moments...

On Sunday we took Reagan to a train exhibit at a local science museum. As Josh was getting ready to pay I noticed a sign that said "Two and under-Free"...so I said,
"Wait, she's two! So she's free to get in." The woman looked at me and said "THAT is two???"

Um, yeah. First of all, my child is not a THAT. Second, what earthly reason would I have to lie? And third, I can't help the fact that my child is extremely tall like her dad!! And granted, yes her third birthday is in a little over two weeks, but she is, in fact, still...TWO. ARGH!

Sunset Skies are Calling

Sunset Skies are Calling

Sunset skies are calling as daylight greets the night
Songbirds fill the sky to nests they now take flight

Sails out on the water start heading towards the shore
Seagulls still are diving as they scavenge for one more

Signs of business booming as the city starts to glow
Such nightlife it does promise to put on a good show

Scents of daytime flowers fill the evening breeze
Swaying branches rustle as sunbeams tickle trees

Sweetly sun does kiss the top of horizons head
So softly the transition from day to night is spread

Symphonies are heard as music greets the moon
Sunset skies are calling "I'll be back again real soon".

the EGO ID

Finally, i fully finished The Ego business identity project. With its posters project, this have been my favorite project so far and i like the result itself :)

horror campaign

LOL

i wanna laugh first....Hhhh...this is a horror (and super creative) campaign that make me terrified, laughed and amazed at the same time."Using a ketchup sachet, we demonstrated the horrific nature of living in a land mine affected country and how much a part of everyday life that horror is. The idea is simple: as you tear open the sachet you also rip through the child's leg and the ketchup inside pours out like blood."

Indian Summer Card Set

Here is a set of cards I made from Basic Gray's Indian Summer papers. I love the deep fall colors of this line.

For a gift box, I started with a box that originally held markers:

I used a little Goo-Gone to remove the labels and then covered the lid with Indian Summer papers. I decorated the lid to look like one of the cards inside. This was a wedding gift so I put the name of the Couple in the place where the card would have the sentiment.

Here's a view of the cards & envelopes in the box:

Supplies: Papers - Basic Gray Indian Summer, Ribbon - Offray, Stamp - Studio G, Bling - Studio G, Ink - Stampabilities, embossing powder
