In The Mail: New Shoes from Beso.Com

Delivered in the mail today - A great pair of shoes from Beso!

New Shoes :)

Soft Navy Leather, with laces up the front. I think they are so adorable and they are very comfortable! I plan to wear them a lot when the snow has melted! Navy is a color that I've told myself I want to incorporate more into my wardrobe! (I recently purchased my first blazer/jacket, and it's navy, but that's a topic for another post.)

Beso.Com is a website that allows users to shop from hundreds of stores, all at once. Clothing, Accessories, Shoes, Kitchen gadgets - You type into the search box, beso works it's magic, and you get to see a giant list of shopping options. I like how you can narrow down your search too- Search by brand, price, style, or see what's on sale! (The shoes I decided on were originally $65, but had been marked down to about $25!) It's easy to find exactly what you're looking for.

To find my cute shoes, I went straight to the sale section. Who doesn't LOVE a good sale? Then I searched for 'Vintage Style Flats' because I was in the market for some cute flats for spring, and I thought it would be fun to find a pair styled after vintage shoes! They have so many Modern Vintage Shoes and Boots, you should go check them out!

I found my little navy oxfords - Fell in Love - and Beso Shipped them (In less than a week!), right to my front door! Thank you, Beso's!

New Shoes :)

Come on, Spring!

Hat Heads by Hollund Review & Giveaway

My name is Kim. I am the mom of two VERY active little boys. I am married to a great man. I have been crocheting for about 12 years. 2 years ago I started a photography business and it was during my search for unique hats to use as props that I realized I could make my own. Friends and family loved the hats so much that I started making hats for them too. I started getting requests to make hats for people I didn’t know, everyone loved the hats so much that I decided to turn it into a business. Hat Heads by Hollund was started about a year and a half ago. Hat Heads by Hollund offers crochet hats, scarves, infant boots, dishcloths, and more. I am constantly on the search for new designs and enjoy making up my own patterns too!

Kim so kindly sent these adorable hats from her Hat Heads by Hollund collection to my girls.

This monkey hat is so fitting for Lillian because she literally is half monkey, I think.

Alexa's hat is fitting to her diva personality, too.

She has a passion for fashion and this hat says it all.

Kim did such amazing work with these hats. Not only are they just plain adorable, they are high quality and very well made. Hats are becoming such a huge part of fashion from tiny tots to stylish grandmamas!! They are a huge part of photo session accessories and let's face it, they draw attention to our already adorable kiddos. Alexa and Lilli have gotten so many compliments already. I've asked Alexa a few times if I can borrow her hat sometime and it's been a firm, "No", every time.

Hat Heads by Hollund offers a wide variety of hats to choose from, boys and girls, infant and adult. If you have specific ideas or colors in mind, she is able to work with you to create the look you want. Here are a few of my favorites.

Kim is amazing to work with. She loves what she does and it shows in her sweet hats. There is nothing better than handmade and Kim's creations will add that special charm to your childs wardrobe.

Joey & Spunky - An Adventure in Excersise Ebook Review & Giveaway

Living in Minnesota, there comes a point, in usually mid-November, early-December that we all fall into the cold weather funk. The typical after school activity is watching TV, coloring or some other indoor ativity that requires absolutley no physical activity whatsoever. I'm just as guilty as the kids. This is the time of year that we hibernate.
In an era of internet, television and video games it's easy for kids to loose their motivation to get up off the couch and play. Children need motivation to keep active and what better way than with a spunky little monkey and an adorable kangaroo named, Joey.

I recently received the "An Adventure in Excersise" Ebook series from author, Len Saunders, to review. From the moment I showed my kids the ebooks, they fell in love with the awesomely illustrated characters of Spunky and Joey.

Joey the Kangaroo - An Adventure in Excersise This book is designed to educate your child in various fitness skills. Each page is simply illustrated, showing Joey doing ten different fitness activities, from walking in place to balancing on one foot and jumping jacks for your child to follow along and mimic his actions. This book is perfect for both my children, as Alexa (age 6) can read along and Lillian (age 3) can accomplish all the fitness tasks. It also encourages them to recognize and count their numbers 1-10 as the activities suggested include, doing 3 push ups, 9 toe touches and balancing on one foot for 8 seconds and so on. What I enjoy most about excersising with Joey is that he encourages my children to express themselves creativly through movment in so many different ways, not just the suggested activities in the book. It teaches them that excersise can be fun.

Spunky the Monkey - An Adventure in Excersise: In this book, Spunky takes us on an adventure through the forest having our children act as frogs jumping from lily pad to lily pad, birds soaring and flying through the sky and slithery snakes crawling on the ground. It introduces a whole new set of movements, encouraging them to do the excersise a little bit longer, or a little bit more, if it feels to easy for them. Alexa especially likes Spunky's adventure because she likes the challenge. As a Mom, it's sometimes difficult to find new ways to motivate my kids to pull their eyes away from the Disney Channel. I find that I need motivation myself. Spunky and Joey's Aventures in Excersise has totally changed our evening routine. My kids are both begging me to hurry and clean up after dinner so we can play with Spunky and Joey. They say, "We HAVE to Mommy, it's healthy for our bodies". It excites me to see that they are having so much fun, encouraging each other and cheering themselves on to accomplish each task. Lillian is determined to balance on one foot for 8 seconds and she is getting closer and closer each night that we do it. Having them learn how important it is to excersise and keep their bodies healthy and strong at a young age is so important to both my husband and I because it's more likely they will continue to include exersise in their daily routine for the rest of their lives. Our dog, Chip, even likes to participate. hehe

About the Award Winning Author: Len Saunders graduated with honors in 1983 from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, majoring in Physical Education. He was voted the "outstanding senior" from hisn graduating class. He later went to receive his Master's degree in Excersise Physiology from Montclair State University in New Jersey.
Len has been involved in children's health and fitness for over 25 years. He was won awards for his contribution to children's health and fitness at the local, state and national levels. He has been a guest speaker at universities, as well as state and national conventions. In the late 1980's, Len served as a consultant to the President's Council on Physical Fitness & Sports. Most recently, he became and American Heart Association expert spokesperson on the issue of childhood obesity and childhood fitness.
Len's contribution to children's fitness has literally reached millions of children and their parents. He has contributed articles to magazines such as Muscle and Fitness, as well as writing articles for Human Kinetics Publishing and consulted with Sports Illustrated For Kids magazine. Some of Len's articles have been used for nationally syndicated television shows on ABC-TV. Sports Illustrated called Len "high-spirited", while a quote from Ladies Home Journal says, "nobody is more commited to children's fitness than Len Saunders".

The obesity epidemic is facing the youth of the world today is a growing concern for a lot of parents. Unfortunately, many young chilren already suffer from a risk factor for heart disease, which includes high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, or physical inactivity. Studies have shown that children do benefit from learning positive health habits while they are still young. Statistics have shown that many overweight children will grow up to become overweight adults. Teaching our children basic excersise skills in an entertaining and novel way makes it more fun for them.

Your children will love to excersise and play with Spunky and Joey and Mom's and Dad's, be prepared to get on the floor and excersise along with them. We make it a family activity in our home and it's a blast. I told Len that it's absolutley hilarious watching my 3 year old do push ups. Even tho she doesn't do aproper push up, it's the effort that counts and she is getting better and better each time. It usually ends up with her bear crawling all over the living room or crab walking or something other form of physical activity. The importance is that she is being active, having fun and developing healthy habits at an early age.

Kidorable Review & Giveaway

I'm so excited about doing this review for Kidorable - the ultimate shop for all things rain gear. My girls LOVE looking stylish (even in rain gear). Kidorable not only satisfied my little fashionista's style, they satisfied me by being high quality, fully functional gear that will protect them from the cold, wind and rain.
The endless array of of styles will catch any child's eye. From space hero's to ballerina's and frogs to ladybugs, Kidorable delights both children and the adults who love them by transforming everyday, functional kids accessories into objects that excite their imaginations and enrich their lives at play.

Lillian chose the Lucky Cat raincoat in size 3T.

$36.00

It fits her perfectly, leaving room underneath to layer for extra warmth. She loves the hood with kitty ears to pretend she is a baby kitty. I love the little elastic strip around the forehead that hugs her face to keep out the cool rainy weather.

There is a little kitty pocket on one side that closes with a zipper and a clear pocket on the other side with a little fishy. This coat could not get any cuter. There is a small pleat in the back that adds to the style of this adorable raincoat. It's high quality, durable material that will last a long time. Lillian's Lucky Cat raincoat also came with an adorable wooden kitty cat hanger, so she always knows where to hang her jacket.

Alexa chose the Houndstooth raincoat in size 6, that was inspired by Madonna's children's book, The English Roses. Alexa, being my little fashion diva, I was not surprised that she picked this eye catching design.

$45.00

With her being at an age were how things look and fit are important to her, I was a bit nervous how she was going to react to wearing a raincoat. To my surprise she didn't complain at all about it being too uncomfortable or bulky. The belt in the middle is easy for her to adjust on her own and gives the jacket that tighter feel that she likes.

The hood is detachable with easy, secure snaps.

All style Kidorable raincoats are PVC with comfortable polyester lining, making them durable and long lasting.

Alexa's matching Houndstooth umbrella is made of 100% nylon. Kidorable has taken the idea of a humble umbrella and transformed it into an imagination tent. Kidorable offers the most popular assortment of whimsical umbrella's ever created. Alexa loves her umbrella and wants to open it and play with it every chance she gets. It's so easy to open and close and has a nice plastic protection cover to protect her fingers from getting pinched. She has gotten several compliments.

$15.00

My girls are set to enjoy countless hours of fun splish splashing in the rain puddles...or the snow.
It's actually raining in these pictures, but we still have lots of snow on the ground.

Now your little one can enjoy rainy days, too.

Kidorable has offered one lucky Mom-a-Logues reader an umbrella of their own.

Yay!

KdBuggie Boutique T-shirt Review & Giveaway

One of the awesome things about blogging, is getting to meet all the amazing and creative Mom's out there. I often times rely on these incredible ladies for inspiration and motivation to get my creativeness flowing.
Recently I've had the pleasure of meeting Katy at KdBuggie Boutique. I was thrilled to receive this adorable custom tee from her, for Lillian.

It fits her so well, as she is sure a Mommy's Girl!

She looks so sweet and is so proud to show it off.

I love that it's fitted, not too wide in the body like some t-shirts are. It's tagless, which is a huge plus and made out of 60% cotton and 40% polyester. I've already machine washed it cold and tumble dried it and the screen print remained in perfect adorable-as-can-be condition.
And the best part, my daughter absolutley adores it.
I think you can agree that she looks pretty darn cute.

Katy is the Mom of 2 little ones, a son who will be 2 just after Christmas and a 3 1/2 year old little girl. Along with her husband, she has been managing their apartment complex for the past 4 years. It's given them great oppertunity to save a little extra cash and are happy to have recently purchased their first home. You will have to stop by her blog often for her latest decorating tips and tutorials. I know I will be!
After her son was born she realized that she needed a place to release all of her creative juices. She went through all the proper procedures and got all the appropriate business licenses and voila - KdBuggie Boutique was born.

Inspired by her mother's creative idea's, Katy can make her visions come to life.
She has always had a love of drawing, scrapbooking, sewing, cooking and all things crafty.
Although her Mom knows how to sew, Katy has mainly learned as she goes. She admits that not all her sewing projects are a success, but once she learns how it's done, she can do it a million times.

When I asked her how she manages to work, be a mom and wife, blog and find time to create all these wonderful items for KdBuggie Boutique, she said time is precious, but she is fortunate that her son is a good little napper and has the support from her husband - 150%!!

Katy's talent is endless..

Katy makes her receiving blankets 40" square, 10" longer and wider than most store bought receiving blankets, making swaddling easier. Made with the most adorable fabrics to suit your little one and the softest flannel and chenille.

Make your baby shower or birthday parties memorable with KdBuggie Boutique's unique boutique-style invitations. Send a Thank You card or birth announcement that will leave an impression. Make your baby shower special with customized baby bingo cards and baby advice cards.

KdBuggie Boutique also features these lovely burp cloths, bibs, changing pads and
washies all in highly fashionable fabrics customized to fit your style.

All items are high quality affordable boutique items for baby and toddler.
