A Card for Tony

Hi there, me again...last year we celebrated our Ruby Wedding, this is the card I made for Tony.
Got the shape from watching Nancy Watt on C&C. It ended up quite large and heavy good job I could hand it to him. I used the silver foiled hunkydory card mated onto silver mirri board, then on black pearlised card. Made the clasp from the circle nesties, added some ribbon & pearls and punched the edge.

This is it closed.

On the inside I decoupaged the lady and glittered her up a bit, matted it onto silver mirri then on black pearl card, then onto more mirri, then some white pearl card finally onto black pearl card again....phew..see what I mean about heavy..lol..

On the base I printed the sentiment and cut using nesties, and more of the silver foiled card.

Apologises for the photo's seems like I can never get them right...

Tony liked it, hope you do too..

Been AWOL, but here are 2 the same but different

Been neglecting everything lately, my blog, blogging and the forum, but have made a few cards, just need to put them on here. I've managed to flick through the blogs I visit, leave a couple of comments (I've slapped my own hands) have had a quick look at the forum and now have sorted a couple of cards for here.

Had to make a card for Dawns Birthday and one for a friend, I made the one with the blue mirri card first and liked it so I decided to make another card using the same image but with a purpley-pink miri card and glitter. Boy was the balcony fiddly to cut out, as was glittering all the feathers, fringing etc.

Cutting out the flowers was fiddly too, and unfortunately I chopped off a bloom on the pink one,I was going to stick it on but I lost it, hope they didn't notice.

Both were 8" square cards, with quite a few layers. Didn't put a greeting on the front as I thought it would spoil it, so did it on the insert instead. Shame about my photography though.

I would love you to leave some comments if you have time...

As some of you know, it was my Birthday recently, I received loads of lovely cards and 3 of them were beautiful hand crafted cards. I think they are all gorgeous, and I really appreciate the time and effort that went into making them.

This one was made by my sister Dawn,

she knows I love it 'cos I told her,

This one was handmade by our Friend Kate.
Thanks Kate a lovely surprise it's gorgeous, I just love the image.

and finally,

This was from my forum friend Louise Emma, it's such a beautiful card, when I opened the envelope it was a lovely surprise, I had no idea that Louise had taken the time to make me a card...

Thanks a Million Lou, I'm well into these Deco Ladies at the moment.

Come back soon we all miss you.......

If you want to see more of Louise's cards pop along to her blog The Lou-natic Asylum
and check them out, she has made some stunning cards.

My sister Dawn and my friend Kate make lovely cards, but they never post them anywhere. Please leave them all some comments, so they know you love the cards as much as I do.....

A4 Anniversary Card

This one was for my Sister and Brother In Law's 26th Anniversary.

Used a full size white A4 card, glittered around the edge, and yes the glitter was white, the card was white and the sentiment all silvery.... just my poor photography... card was bought from C&C, I had quite a to do with them about delivery and about £3.00 in phone charges...trying to get it all sorted... but that's another story.

The couple were printed on to glossy photo paper, then decoupaged, quite a few layers on this one. I used Crystal Glitter around the frame, in the trees and on the dress. A silver Pentouch pen on the dress, hat, earrings and beads, and some black peewee glitter on the dress and hat. Matted it onto a glossy black card. Added a couple of black marabou feathers which I've cut the edges off in the photo, a ribbon the same colour as the dress and a little bow, made on the bow maker. The sentiment and names were cut on Robo from glittery silver wrapping paper.

I love this wrapping paper for cutting sentiments, in real life it so smooth, silvery and glittery, and cuts like a dream especially with fiddly bits on the Robo, the settings I used are.. Select film, pressure 17, blue cap, cut twice might be OK with one cut if you have a new blade.
If you have a Craft Robo try it, it's from Clintons, on a roll.

As far as the insert is concerned, still haven't figured out how to print one on folded A3 paper, but have wasted loads of paper trying, so I took Joanne's and Louise's advise and just printed it onto a single A4 sheet, and stuck it onto the card.

Hope you like it,

I would love you to leave some comments if you have time...

A couple of more cards, Deco Ladies

Well I managed to sort out a graphic for the header, I'm not really happy with it, but it will do for now. I've been try to get it to stretch across the screen, but it doesn't want to grow, so I thought I'd leave it for now and put on a few more cards for you to look at, I'll try and sort it out another time.

I love using these Deco Ladies, both are from a sheet of wrapping paper.

The blue lady was decoupaged, then some crystal glitter was added for a bit of sparkle. The large peel off down the side was one from the Glitter Girls. I rounded the corners on the card with a corner punch.

I didn't decoupage this lady, just added some glitter. Backed it onto card then using silicone matted on a thick silver embossed card. A peel off down the side and a lovely marabou feather to finish.

Names and sentiments on both cards were made using Design Master and cut with Robo.

Hope you like them,
