June + Etsy! Great Success!

End of June Check in!

At the beginning of the month I blogged about my game plan to try to make June one of the Best Etsy Sales Months Ever! I worked hard on thrifting, taking photos, and listing on Etsy as many days out of the week as I could fit in! I joined Lookville, Submitted photos to the PREZZ*D Magazine, and Sponsored the MouseVoxVintage Blog for an advertising spot!

We're having some construction done on the house, I was gone for a long weekend, and we have a couple new kittens in the house. All these things have a been a huge distraction, which makes me think I can work even harder next month, and hopefully do even better with my Etsy shop than in June!

I am happy to say, that even thought June wasn't the Best month I have EVER had on Etsy, It was Very Close! June turned out to be an Excellent Month!! I worked hard, and I made just about as many sales as I have in my best months! I also have lots more in stock, tons of things listed, and I feel like I'm really organized, so I can keep expanding! I also think all the hard work I've put in this month will keep paying off in the months to come.

Did I mention today we brought home a pair of Persian Kittens? This is my first real kitten experience. I always had Dogs growing up, but my boyfriend always had cats. We are so excited. I am hoping to update the shop tonight, but it's hard for me to think about anything but the new little fuzz balls in the other room!

How's your June?

Okay, at the beginning of June, I posted on this blog about how I wanted to make this month the Best Etsy Month Ever! Anyone remember? Since it's just about half way through the month, I thought I would check in, tell you all how my month is going on Etsy, and then see how you're doing!

My June so far
-Sales are slow, but steady, and they seem to be picking up as the month goes along.
-I'm trying to get out to thrift stores, etc at least a couple times a week. So I never run out of items to list!
-I'm trying to list in the Etsy Shop everyday, and have managed to do so except for just a couple days. (These days were filled with friends, cookouts, shopping, housework, etc, It is summer after all. :)
-I'm posting on my Facebook Like Page more, and trying to get some interaction going there.
-All my etsy items have been extra organized. Shipping supplies fully stocked, new drawers to keep all my vintage jewelry sorted by piece, so I can find it quickly when I need to ship. This makes for much less time spent packaging up sales and getting them out in the mail.
-Taking a least a few product photos every day. It's hard to list if I don't have nice, edited photos. So If I do a little of this every day, it doesn't get overwhelming thinking of taking and editing 300 photos in one day!
-I was invited to join, and signed up for an account with Lookville! It seems to be a good place to network with more fashion loving people. Great place for tips and advice on fashion too! It's also a great place for me to do some research about the kinds of Vintage Fashions people are currently looking to buy!
-My nice new business cards should be here any day now.
-I like to and have been trying to promote other sellers, especially on Twitter. Great way to help the whole Etsy Community grow!
-I'm Still trying to get photos of Customers showing off their S.S.Vintage purchases! (Want to help? See Here!)

Overall the month so far has been great. I would love to have made a few more sales by now, but I'm getting a lot of new things listed, and the more that's in the shop, the more sales I can make. It also seems like the harder I work, and the more days in a row I work on the shop, the more the sales start to trickle in. Just working on getting the shop name out there and noticed, I believe that will bring me more sales in the long run too. I'm considering purchasing a few small ads, maybe on other blogs/websites. All this effort is going to pay off!

June + Etsy!

I am going to try to make June the best Etsy sales month ever! I want to see if I really work at it, if I can make a difference in the amount of sales I make. Who wants to join me on this challenge?
I have a few things that I want to work extra hard on. The more you list, the more sales you make! So I am going to try to:

-Go out thrifting more often and looking for more vintage items for the shop.
-List more items, and More often in the shop.
-Promote fellow Etsy sellers both on the blog and on twitter! I think it's important to promote and support each other in the Etsy and Blogging community! (Leave a comment if you want to get in on this :)
-Start to utilize my Facebook page more! I need to get creative and do some promos or give-aways there! And I still really want to make a 'Happy Customer' type gallery of photos from You! (See my blog post on that subject :)
-Stay extra organized! New business cards and making sure I'm totally stocked up on all my shipping supplies (got new printer ink and lots of stamps today).
-Get involved in the Prezz*D! A collaboration Magazine project! Started by Fi Figueroa who is an awesome fashion blogger, a great girl, and anyone would be lucky to collaborate with her!
