The Farm Chicks Christmas - great inspiration for decorating ideas!

Now that we have Thanksgiving over with, it's on to Christmas!  And with that comes the annual "pulling out of the Christmas decorations" at the Chance house...an event my husband and sons cringe over, but one that my mom and I usually have a lot of fun with!

I'm always looking for inspiration for new ideas in decorating, and I ran across the Farm Chick's Christmas book and was delighted with the charming vignettes that are featured in this bright and cheerful book!

For “Farm Chick” Serena Thompson, Christmas means a house overflowing with ornaments, lights, and cherished treasures, and the aroma of baking cookies to welcome family and friends. With "The Farm Chicks Christmas" she shows us how to spread the magic of the season, with ideas for entertaining, decorating, tree trimming, charming crafts, and 17 recipes for yummy holiday sweets-plus tips for wrapping food and gifts.

A cute way to decorate the front porch!
As in The Farm Chicks in the Kitchen, Serena weaves delightful stories of her family and friends throughout the book, calling forth nostalgic smiles that remind us of the importance of tradition at this special time of year. The photography in this book is breathtaking, and the ideas are simple enough for anyone to recreate!
I love this wreath made from balls of yarn!
The Farm Chicks website (http://www.thefarmchicks.com/) is amazing, and you can follow Serena Thompson's blog through the site.

This book is from my personal collection!

I'll be posting more holiday reading goodies throughout the weekend!  Be sure to check back, and as always, happy reading ya'll!
