Lillian'd 18 Month Check Up

Lillian Cruz had her 18 month check up with Dr. Joshi this morning. As we all knew already, she is perfect.

She is 23 lbs which is in the 40th percentile for other kids her age and in the 70th percentile for her height. She will be a tall little Mexicana. Dr. Joshi went through her regular routine of checking Lillian's eyes, ears, chest and throat. She examined her stomach and all her other body parts. Everything was perfect.

With me having had strep and Lillian getting a cold this week, I had Dr. Joshi do a strep test on Lillian, just to be sure. Dr. Joshi said that kids under the age of 2 don't typically get strep throat, but since I, as her parent had it, she did the test anyways. Luckily it came back negative and all is well. I'm guessing Lillian's cold/cough is from her teething. She has been chewing on her fingers a lot latley.

Lillian was a great cooperator and showed Dr. Joshi where her tummy, head, hair, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, fingers and toes were. She pointed to and said "Dora" in the book she had and showed her how to sign "please" and "more" in sign language. Overall, Dr. Joshi was very impressed and after her 2nd Hepetitis B shot she was sent home with only a couple tears, a red sucker and an Elmo sticker.

I can't believe my baby is already 18 months!
