Today, I'm please to host a book blog tour stop for Tricia Goyer's new book, "Beside Still Waters."
About Beside Still Waters:
Marianna Sommer believes she knows where her life is headed. Nineteen years old and Amish, her plan is to get baptized into the church, marry Aaron Zook, and live in the only community she's ever known.
When Marianna's family moves from Indiana to Montana she discovers life and faith will never be the same. As she builds an easy friendship with local guy, Ben Stone, Ben not only draws her heart, he also gets her thinking about what loving God and living in community is all about.
As Marianna struggles to find "home", she also encounters God in intimate ways. Click here to watch the book trailers. http://triciagoyer.com/contemporaryfiction.html#BesideStillWaters
"Beside Still Waters" is a fascinating look into the life of a young Amish woman struggling with many life decisions. Marianna Sommer wants to be a good daughter and please her family, but she also longs to follow her heart and begin a life and family of her own. When her family decides to leave their Indiana farm to travel to Montana, an unusual move for a typical Amish family, Marianna is torn between wanting to remain where her life is safe and planned out, or go with her family to experience new adventures.
Tricia Goyer beautifully captures the emotions - both angst and happiness - that any young woman experiences as she enters adulthood. Her masterful storytelling skills are evident in this novel that explores the traditions and culture of the Amish. And with a cliff-hanger ending, Goyer leaves her readers anxiously awaiting more stories of Marianna and the Sommer family.
I highly recommend this novel.
