Well, the snow lasted all day on Saturday, so there was no outside time for us. Alexa and Lillian were happy to have their friends Maddie and Cody over to play for the day, tho. I was happy to have them, too. I started off playing the Easter Bunny, hiding plastic eggs around the house for them to find, but after about the 6th time, I was running out of places to hide them and it just wasn't as fun. So, they took turns hiding them for each other. hehe I'm actually still finding eggs around the house 2 days later.
The snow FINALLY melted during the time we were in church on Sunday morning. It's a good thing, too, because the girls were chomping at the bit to have Papa put their playset together. A big thanks to Adam and our good friend Dave for helping out and for the use of his tools.
Alexa is approving but giving a thumbs up in the play tower. Lillian had lots of practice climbing up and down the ladder and using the new yellow handles.
..and sliding down the bumpy yellow slide.
Weeee!!
Alexa is going to become a professional "underdogger" to her little sister.
Sisters~Swinging! Adam replaced some of the nuts, bolts, nails, screws and whatever types of hardware the thing needed. We replaced a ladder step and the chains for the swings. It turned out perfect. It will need some new paint in the next year or so, but it's safe and functional for the girls to get lots and lots of use out of it. We are again so ever grateful to our neighbor Brad for giving us such a fun playset for Alexa and Lillian. They love it.
