Next week, on April 18th, I am having an Alice in Wonderland-themed week of "itty bitty giveaways"--one giveaway a day from Monday thru Friday--so please join me! All winners will be announced on that Saturday. I will show a new prize every day starting next Monday. Please join me as we go "down the rabbit hole!"
You're welcome to take my prize button and display it on your blog.

Now, let me begin this week's journey!
This week is dedicated to YOU, my blogging friends. Remember I told you that I had a special week planned? Well, the reason for the theme is to let you know how important you are. That’s why it’s called An Excursion into Beautiful.
We glue, we glitter, we sew, we craft, we clean (okay--so that part may be a lie!), we take care of family, pets, and friends--and then, we try to make our way in this world of art and craft. We share it, we live, we breathe it and make friends along the way.
My totally precious friend Donna of My Shabby Chateau sent me a book. It just arrived on Saturday. It’s by Joel Osteen and it’s called “It’s Your Time.” I’m telling each one you--this IS our time! We are creating art for a reason. We are crafting for a reason. And we’ve made friends on here for a reason.
Just think, if we didn’t put that first drop of glue on a page or stitch that first stitch in a quilt, we would never know what JOY it brings to others. So, as you go about your day and your life, just remember that you are being lead somewhere...it truly is a beautiful excursion.
And for those of you who don’t produce art--wow! You are the reason that so many of us do this--to bring creativity that you can enjoy. You provide the inspiration! Each and every person has a valuable part in this journey...
Each and everyone of you are beautiful--Don’t forget it. And now, I’ll tell you the story behind this new piece of art...
One day, my husband got an idea that I would need a matchbox painted shiny black. I told him, “Oh Honey, I don’t need that.”
Well, he paid no attention, went to buy the paint, set about painting it and said, “One day when you need it, here it is!” That “one day” came within 24 hours when I saw these images from Dezinaworld. (Was he intuitive or what?)
The graphics for today’s piece are from Dezinaworld. And the sheet music paper is from The Graphics Fairy.
