We had such a great weekend..well, aren't all weekends great weekends?? For us they are! It's when we get to be home from work/school together as a family. It's just too bad they don't last a bit longer. All in favor of 4 day weekends?? MEEE!!
Some interesting weather here in MN the last few days. I've been bragging about how nice it's been lately and it still is - even nicer actually. But, 75 degrees and HUMID this early on in the spring is a little unusual, is it not? We had a few thundershowers through the night on Saturday, but not a drop on Sunday. We spent the whole entire day outside. The kids had a blast running around the yard in their shorts. They even stopped by the garden hose a few times for a quick drink. Some new neighbors were moving in and they happen to have a little girl a year older than Alexa. She was over quite a bit getting aquainted with the girls and all their neighborhood friends. I loved watching them play with their dolls and carry purses around and then get on their bikes to "go to work". So cute.
We even had a nice visit with some friends we haven't seen in awhile (see photo above). I love how the spring time gets us all out and about ~ seeing people that have hibernated (like us) through the winter.
You've heard me talk about the Farmington Steak House quite a bit on this blog (and in person). My favorite thing there is a cheeseburger on texas toast. I can't describe it any other way that it just simply being so freaking good. I could eat it every day. So, the hubs recreated it for me at home for dinner last night. I'm not going to lie, it was even BETTER than the Farmington Steak House. I can't get used to this guilty pleasure tho otherwise I'm not going to fit into any of my spring/summer clothes. Eek!
After playing outside all day in shorts and bare feet, the girls were in desperate need of a bath. But, during the day Lillian was riding her scooter and somehow it caught on her foot and ended up giving her a little scratch. Seriously, NO BIG DEAL - it was the tiniest scratch ever. But, when you're 3 years old and completely worn out from a long day outside playing and having had NO nap, things that seem very very small, multiply into something huge and things get a little dramatic. Well, it was the end of the world for her when after being in tub for about 5 or so minutes, she remembered that little owie she had on her foot. She screamed and cried and the tears just rolled down her face. "It huuurts Mommy, It huurts soooo bad!" So, I cleaned her up quick, washed her hair and got her out as quickly as I could, all while Alexa so kindly held her little foot up above the water so it wouldn't sting. I'm seriously laughing out loud at how silly it all was ~ but, we pretty much babied her the rest of the night, because she is our baby.
I have some pretty amazing giveaways going on right now (see top right sidebar). A couple are ending this week. They are too cute to miss, so please check them out and leave some nice comments for the sponsors. Good luck to those who have entered. :)
