Thrifting Days & Breakfasts

Yesterday was going to be a great thrifting day! We got up early, headed out of the house, stopped for coffee on the way, and went to the first thrift store on our list. We really scored at the first place, I found some excellent vintage. (Tall Leather Boots, Ferragamo Heels, Vintage Handbags!) Then the weather got worse, and the snow meant we couldn't head out of town. Our town has one more good place we like to check out, so we headed over there, through the snow. When we got there, they were closed! (Okay, not because of the snow, but because it was Sunday, and I just forgot they are closed on Sundays!)

We decided to scrap the plan at this point, and have some breakfast. The first place we stopped to eat- was closed! Then we remembered a diner that would still be open, so we eventually ended up eating waffles with strawberries and drinking coffee, then heading home to hibernate for the rest of the day.

We got up early again today, to head out of town and do some shopping for the house and some of the thrifting we didn't get in the day before. The waffles were so good yesterday, that my friend suggested we stop at a different, tiny, local diner. This diner is only open in the mornings, and not for long. Usually by the time I'm awake, they are already closed. So we stopped and had one egg cheese omelets and fried potatoes. Yum!

After breakfast, we had a busy day of shopping. We thrifted for vintage, did some food shopping (I'm making Lasagna soon!), found some new clothes, and had a nice day. I was happy to be home when we returned, I found some warm pajamas and made some chai tea, and now I'm hanging out with The Boyfriend.

What a great day!
