It seems like it has been forever since I was able to participate in a blog hop with my fellow Center Stage Designers. Tonight we have an inspiration challenge for you. Carolina has picked several cookies from Better Bit of Butter to inspire us with. You can check out our inspiration photo below my card. You should have arrived at my blog from my friend Lori McAree's amazing blog. If you didn't, you can go back to StampTV and start from the beginning.
I was inspired by cookie #2. I love the white on white look, I think it is so pretty and elegant. The cookie looks like it has some gray or silver shading so I used some smokey slate cardstock along with the white cardstock to give my card the same effect. First, I embossed the white card with a dot embossing folder and then added a smokey slate panel that had been punched along one side with with a scalloped scallop edger punch. The pretty flower image from the GKD Spring Basket set was stamped on white cardstock with slate ink and then attached to the smokey slate panel. I stamped the biggest flower one more time and popped it up for a little bit of 3D. I added some pearls and a sentiment fromt the GKD Inside and Out set. A little bit of lace trim finished it off. This card also used the sketch challenge (STVSKSP20) at StampTV this week. I love it when things just fall into place like that!
Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (April 12th), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs who will get a stamp set of their choice valued up to $24.95!
Now, I am going to send you on your way to Miesje's awesome blog. I know she has something special to share with you!
