Adam and I surprised the girls with a fun trip to the MN Zoo on Saturday.
It was the perfect day to go - the weather was perfect and both girls were in good moods (huge plus). We told them we had a surprise for them and that we were going somewhere, but didn't tell them where until we pulled into the zoo. They were super excited.

They had some fun fall decorations set up all over the zoo. I couldn't help myself. I'm a sucker for cute photo backgrounds.
Lillian is so funny. She won't pose for picture if you ask her to, but if she see's something she wants her picture taken by, she is more than willing and full of smiles.
She, of course, thought this big bear would make a cool picture.
Oh, and sitting in a birds nest was pretty neat, too.
..and being a turtle was not too bad either.

We had a great time at the zoo. We all enjoyed seeing the bears, monkeys and the sleeping tiger.
It was such a beautiful day!
When we got home, some friends stopped over to hang out and play.

Our friend Mike got tickets to the Vikings game and invited Adam, Dave and Andy.
You can about imagine how excited Adam was....(huge Vikings fan!!)

While they tailgated and enjoyed themselves at the game. Jamie (Dave's wife) and I took the kids to the corn maze in town. Two things I loved about this corn maze 1.) it was super fun 2.) it was FREE!!

There was a fun hay bale tunnel that they could crawl through. They could take little flashlights in there to help navigate their way. The kids loved it. I was surprised at Lillian going through the whole thing several times and not getting scared...because Jamie and I tried it, too..and it was really dark in there.

Even tho you can clearly see in Lillian's eyes that she is very sleepy..I was happy to get a cute smile out of her.

It was actually kinda nice because it was an easy way to keep track of our kids...we just looked for the purple and gold.
After the fun times we had at the corn maze, we all head back to our house to watch the Vikings game. We had chips and dip and pizza and had such a fun time hanging out. The kids had a blast playing together and the best part....the Vikings WON!! Hoot Hoot!
Grandma Linda arrived after the game. She's here to watch Alexa, who doesn't have school next week. I heard them whispering about going shopping tomorrow...lucky!
Adam got home not too much later..and had a GREAT time at the game. (Thanks Mike!)
All in all.....a WONDERFUL weekend!
