The Snowglobe by Sheila Roberts - Book Blog Tour Stop!

I am delighted to be hosting a book blog tour stop for Sheila Robert's new holiday book, "The Snowglobe."

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and just in time for those who need a little Christmas inspiration comes “The Snowglobe,” a sweet, charming holiday tale by author Sheila Roberts.

After losing her boyfriend to her younger sister, Kylie Gray is definitely in need of something to pick up her spirits when she wanders into a small Seattle antique shop during a girls’ weekend with her two best friends. Searching through the knick-knacks and treasures, Kylie discovers a beautiful old snow globe.

The store owner shares the background of this unique snowglobe, telling Kylie the story of the original owner, a German toymaker who was mourning the loss of his beloved wife and unborn child right before Christmas, and how the grief-stricken man received a gift of an unusual snowglobe in which he sees the image of the tiny angel inside the globe change into a beautiful woman, a woman who would come into his life, help to mend his broken heart and enable him to love and laugh once again.

As Kylie holds the snowglobe in her hands, the store owner tells her that the precious item has been passed down from generation to generation, always to someone in need of a special holiday miracle. For the first time in a long time, Kylie feels hope rising in her heart, and she purchases the snowglobe to take home with her despite the good-natured teasing from her friends.

Wishing for a miracle she could dearly use, Kylie is shocked to see the scene inside the tiny globe change into from a German toy store to one that looks like it could be located in the Pike Market Place there in Seattle. And when a tiny figure of man appears at the door of the store, along with a tiny woman who looks a lot like herself, Kylie knows she must seek out this store and see for herself if the miracle she is hoping for might actually be coming true.

Seattle-based author Sheila Roberts once again delights her readers with “The Snowglobe,” a delightful Christmas story that is sure to become a holiday favorite. The warmth of Robert’s writing shines through her cast of personable characters featured in this tale, and her strong storytelling skills are evident as she blends each character’s story with the others, giving a sense of love, family, and hope – the perfect combination for the gift of Christmas happiness.
