On Friday the talk was that snow was coming.
And as I've mentioned, in Minnesota it's been particularly nice (nice, meaning warm) for this time of year. So, when we heard snow, we just assumed it would be rain.
Ok, maybe it was just me that assumed that, but I think everyone was a little surprised when we woke up Saturday morning to this...

Our back yard and trampoline
I'm not going to lie, it sorta put me in the mood to start putting up our Christmas tree(s) and lights. Alexa even begged. But, we didn't. I don't want to jump the gun and forget about Thanksgiving. Buuut, I might turn on some Christmas music, because I love it...and they are already playing it on the radio..and in Wal-Mart!! :)
Despite the snow, we had a really nice relaxing weekend with my Mom and Dad. Our big highlights were venturing out on the unplowed roads to have lunch at McDonalds. It doesn't seem like it would be that thrilling, but it was nice to get out of the house. You'd be surprised at how quickly claustrophobia sets in getting 6" of snow dumped on you at once. We also made snowmen on Saturday afternoon during the Vikings game. (After their performance yesterday we're not even going to talk about the Vikings on this blog anymore..ok..too embarrassing!) And snowmen pictures will me posted soon.
Alexa and Lillian enjoyed having 2 awesome playmates to themselves all weekend. Grandma and Grandpa played barbies, babies, danced and played dress up with them. Grandpa chased them around the house threatening to give them "THE CLAW" (the claw = hands and fingers stretched out and fingers wiggling in a tickle motion for when he catches them, = lots of tickles, screaming and giggling). All the fun had the girls totally wore out, because they were both fed, bathed and sound asleep by 7:30 last night.
Adam and I followed shortly after.
