Whew, I made it through the first week of school.
(Ha, I act like I'm the one who went!)
Alexa enjoys Kindergarten so much. She is full of stories when she gets home and makes lots of new friends every day, but never remembers their names. She sits with her friends Hannah and Maddie on the bus on the way home every day and thinks she's pretty cool riding the bus with the big kids. She has been singing new songs already and enjoys teaching them to her little sister. She's had a couple alphabet books sent home to practice writing the letters and reading the correlating words, so the homework has begun.
Lillian loves preschool. She feels like such a big girl and loves to brag about it to her big sister. She wants it known that Alexa isn't the only 'big girl' in the house. She's enjoying playing with her new friends in her new classroom. She is in love with her teacher Ms. Alli and her little boyfriend, Levi. She is excited about her hot lunches and has been eating very well.
I'm so proud of my girls, I can't even begin to tell you. They are the light of my life and seeing them so happy makes me feel that I've done something right about being their Mommy. I've helped mold them into the smart, independant, well mannered little girls they are. No matter how hard it is for me to watch my babies grow up, I need to focus on their new journey as a preschooler and kindergartener. No use dwelling on the past and worrying about the future. Live in the now and enjoy every moment!
