Terrible Two's?? What is that?? Because I don't think it's so terrible that Lillian tells me I'm beautiful every single day, sometimes more than once. I don't think it's so terrible that she doesn't cry when I wash her hair or brush her teeth. I don't think it's terrible that she has the best manners a two year old could possibly have.
Light up toothbrushes were the best invention. You press the bottom and the toothbrush flashes for one minute, so you know how long to brush. I make the girls brush one minute on the bottom and one minute on the top. They have no complaints and often times scrub their mouths for an extra minute.
Alexa has the most obnoxious laugh. It's a laugh that you wouldn't expect out of a teeny tiny little peanut of a girl. I absolutely love it.
Lillian does this thing where if she's not getting her way, she'll pout. But, her pout has a little smirk, like she knows that she's about to con us into something. She'll pout and we'll say what's wrong and then she'll say "treat?" and then I usually give in and give her something like a yogurt or tootsie roll and then she'll put her little finger to her lips and say, Shhh, like it's our little secret. I know that I'm letting her manipulate me but, she doesn't know I know. It's just too cute to resist, sorry!
Alexa is a little heater (actually so is Lillian) and usually starts with a small blanket covering her when she goes to bed, but within a few minutes, she is kicking her legs, getting that blanket far from her body because she is so hot. But, she can sleep next to Adam (who is another heater) cuddled up tight in his arms and be completely comfortable.
Alexa is starting to talk like her babysitter, Tori. She's even picked up on her mannerisms. They look so much alike, Alexa could easily be Tori's, Mini-Me.
When I ask Lillian where something is, she replies "I don't know, silly!".
It makes me sad that even though Alexa is ONLY 5, she's already made up her mind that she doesn't want to have children.
(Because they are too much work - that's what she said. LOL)
Lillian says "My" instead of "I" and other cute things that I should be correcting like when she's 'hiding' she'll say, "No can't see you, Mommy!".
Alexa's hair grew at least 2 inches overnight - I swear!
I have the cutest kids in the world...........just saying :)
