The bumbles are big this time of year. They are everywhere. Anyone see the fairly recent animated rendition of Thumbelina? ok, maybe 10 years ago. I think it was a Warner Brothers.
Anyway in that film the fairy prince zings around on a big bumble bee. Anytime I see a bumble I always look for him...you never know when you'll spot a fairy hitching a ride.

This bee was just loving this flower. The color just pops. I can't even imagine what it looks like in bee vision!

This piece was inspired by an image of an actress. She was so thin in the picture that she just looked skeletal. Everybody knows that photos put on ten pounds. So how skinny must she really be? Kick Butt came out of my desire to balance out that image of beauty.
