Weekend Recap - Bachelor Party/Family Reunion/Sleepver & Mother's Day!

Talk about a busy weekend!!  I don't know how we fit it all in actually, but we managed!!

Part I - The Bachelor Party

This coming June my husband's brother, Benny, is getting married.  So, this weekend was the big bachelor party.  Like most events (fantasy football drafts) and larger group activities, this was held at our house, as we're kind of the middle point for a lot of our friends.  Some came from up north as far as Thief River Falls and down south as far as Albert Lea.  It's nice for us to be able to provide a place for everyone to gather, but when it's an 'all guy' sort of event, it sort of grosses me out, as I normally return home to my house smelling like {butt}.
The original plan was for me to be gone this weekend.  I was going to take the girls up to see my parents and maybe even stay up at our cabin.  But, due to some scheduling conflicts with our family reunion - I had to stay in town to attend.
Friday night, the guys started coming one by one.  It was kinda fun to see some of them again.  It's been a long time since we've gotten together that it reminded us of how much we miss hanging out.  My little brother came, too, which was super fun.  They set up the poker table out in the garage and played poker til the wee hours of the night and the girls and I slept soundly inside.
I took the girls garage saling in the morning (remember, we were supposed to be gone - this was an 'all guy' weekend.)  Before we left the girls and I collected garage sale money from all the guys that were here.  LOL
It actually worked and we made about 7 bucks! :)
We found some great deals garage saling.  We found an American Girl doll for 50 cents.  They must have received it as a gift, because they clearly didn't know how much those things cost.  I paid the 50 cents and ran.  haha  At another sale I bought 2 pair of jeans 3 shirts, a dress and a pair of shoes for $3!!  Yes, $3!!  I totally scored on those deals and was so happy!!
The rest of the guys showed up for the party - I would say there were about 20 of them total and then they all went paint balling.  They had a blast and Benny {The Bachelor} was pretty bruised from running the gauntlet and having all the guys open fire on him.
Afterwards, they came back to the house, played horsehoes and grilled out.  Later in the night, they went out to the bars and other places guys go for Bachelor parties - haha!!  They got back at 3AM and had a bonfire until 6AM.  Craziness - but, they had fun!

Part II - Family Reunion

The reason for the girls and I to stay in town this weekend was for our family reunion with family on my Dad's side.  We met my Mom and Dad for lunch and then went to the family reunion in Inver Grove Heights.  If you remember, this family reunion was held at my house last year.  We had some warmer weather this time around, which was nice.  It was so great to see everyone again.  My dad's cousins are super fun and love to laugh.  There is this one cousin - Bruce, who is like that annoying Uncle that is at every family event lightening the mood with his jokes and quick witty comments.  He has no shame and really is hilarious!

He even looks like a goofball - right?? LOL

We tried to get all the kids together, but they weren't cooperating.

It was a great time and I can't wait until the next reunion!

Part III - The Sleepover

Since the guys were having all the fun festivites at our house, I made plans for the girls and I to stay with our friend Jamie.  Plus, her husband was included in the Bachelor Party - so, we gals thought it would be fun to get together.  We got over there much later than I thought we would due to the reunion, but we still had fun.  We watched the movie Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, ate snacks and then it was time for bed.  Jamie got up early and walked 3 miles for Breast Cancer!!  Hooray for her, her Mom and our neighbors Tori and Erika forwalking, too.  I'm soo participating in this event next year with them at the MOA!!

Good Morning Girls!!

Part IIII - Mother's Day!!

Alexa woke me up at 6AM over at Jamie's house and wished me a Happy Mother's Day.  It was the sweetest thing - ever!  She gave me a quick hug and kiss and then went back to bed.  How cute is that?
I got to take care of Jamie's kids, Maddie and Cody while she was doing the Breast Cancer walk - which was awesome, becuase I love her kids just like my own!!  We played outside on the trampoline and on the playset until Jamie came home at noon!
All the guys had left from the Bachelor party by 10:30 and my house was completely in order, just as I had left it, thankfully!!  My hubs even sprayed febreeze, so it was fresh smelling throughout my house. :)

We ALL were super tired and a little bit edgy from all the excitment from the day/night before.  We took our time showering and getting ready and then went out for lunch.  The girls wanted to go to Wendy's and that was totally fine with me - low key is how I wanted my day to go. :)  It was an awesome lunch - Wendy's was slow, so we felt like we were the only ones there.  We took our time and the customer service was great.  The gentleman working put extra fun oreo and m&m sprinkles in the girls frosties. :)
We went home and got comfy on the couch and watched a couple movies, dozed off here and there and I snuggled with my babies.  It was perfect!

Lillian gave me a flower that she planted at school.  She decorated the cup all by herself!

Snuggling on the couch!!  Love this pic!

I can't get the pics to flip on these 2 - but, the girls both made me hand prints with sweet Mother's Day poems!!  So sweet that they made me cry - a happy cry!

My Mother's Day flowers from Adam and the girls! :)

Adam and I ended the night with a Freschetta pizza dinner under candlelight - super romantic!!
He even gave me a massage - it was the best!

Overall, it was a very nice, relaxing day spend with the people that I love.
I am soo proud to be Alexa and Lillian's Mommy - there is no greater gift!
