A Touch of Paris--"Girlie Girl" Week Continues

Hi Everyone~

Oh, how I love everything with a Paris theme! So, I created the piece above with one of my favorite images. As many of you know, I design for Shabby Cottage Studio and I couldn't resist a chance to make this with one of their images.

"Just Married" Clipboard and Tag

And next is a very special commissioned piece that I created for a wedding. It is a true thrill for me to create art that is in keeping with a specific theme that someone wants~pure fun!

Featuring vintage images from my own collection, plus
images from The Graphics Fairy and Shabby Cottage Studio,
in addition to graphic embellishments.

Thank you for coming to visit! It is always awesome to have you come over and spend some time here.

Morning Song--Mixed Media (Graphics from Dezinaworld)

I design for Shabby Cottage Studio and Dezinaworld. I would like to share some new creations that I just completed.

The Kiss--(Graphics by Shabby Cottage Studio)

The Kiss--(Graphics by Shabby Cottage Studio)
This is a gallery piece that will be on display in late March.

Art gallery photos where there is a current exhibit that
includes my work.

Wander--Mixed Media on 8 X 10 canvas.
(Graphics by Dezinaworld and background by Scrapgirls.)

This is best displayed on a stand.

In celebration of the new gallery event, I decided to have a giveaway.

So, I created this piece entitled “Wander.” If you would like to win it, just let me know in your comment. (I certainly understand that it might not match the style or colors of each person's home.)

I would like for it to go to someone who wants to display it in their own home...and also, if you are the winner, could you please post a picture of it on your blog?

Coming next week: The Heartsong Collection--You won't want to miss it, so stayed tune!

Birds of a Feather

Hi Everyone~

I would like to share some of my Etsy shop creations with
you. As you can probably tell, I love birds and birds' nests.

Nesting

Here's a sweet little trinket box with hand-quilled
roses.

And here is a little mini "pocket" book that I made with
scrap book paper and images from Shabby Cottage Studio.
(This item is not in my Etsy shop.)

If you would like to make one, they're very fun--
and I have a TUTORIAL posted at Shabby Cottage Studio
if you would like to create one!

If you haven't been to the "cottage," you're missing
a special treat!

Happy Announcement!

Hi Everyone-

As many of you know, I am the resident artist at Shabby Cottage Studio with the fabulous Gail! I enjoy it so much not only because her designs are amazing, but also because she is one of the sweetest people on earth!

Well, yesterday the awesome June of Dezinaworld asked if I would like to be on her Design Team and hmmm, I thought for about it for half a second, wrote back and said, "Yes, of course--I'd love to!"

So, I feel doubly blessed working with Gail and June--women I truly care about and think are sensational, wonderful and talented!

I hope you look forward to lots of fun designs because they are coming your way.

The other members of the Design Team are such beautiful women--and I couldn't be more happy to work with such a great team--They are June of Junibears Jottings, Chris of My Arty Attempts and Gayle Page-Roback of A Stamper's Touch.

I also have another big announcement to make, but that will have to wait until I receive permission, so please check back occasionally so you can do the happy dance with me!

A Little Vintage Charm

Jackson Square/New Orleans

Last week, I went to visit the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans.

Jeanne d'Arc Necklace

While I was there, I bought a medallion of Jeanne d’Arc for my

special daughter-in-law, Nikki and created this necklace for her

with a key, a crown, and gear for her birthday.

"Charmed" Wall Hanging

Then, I created this wall hanging for her. It includes one of my

favorite images from Shabby Cottage Studio. I couldn’t wait to

make a collage using this vintage blue necklace. It is being entered

in the Spot Prize challenge at Dezinaworld where the theme is

“Charming.”

Sugar-Sweet Lollipops

Then, I made these for my grandchildren to accompany

the other gifts. Of course, the sugar is actually white glitter!

The heart images are from Shabby Cottage Studio too!

They're fun to make--Honestly, I don't know how the idea

popped into my head--but I think they'd also be cute to

stick inside a planter in the house.

While at the cathedral last week, I prayed for all of my family

and friends--and that includes all of you that I have

met while blogging.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend~A Happy Pink Saturday!

and a Spiritual Sunday!!!
