Meet and Greet (My First Guest Blog Post)

DSC_0028

Recently I was asked by Nicole, of 'Assorted Thoughts Of A Scatter-Brain' if I would do a guest blog post on her blog. I really wanted to do it for her, and then I heard that Tammy was also going to do a guest post! We decided right away that if we did our posts with a common theme, it would be twice the fun.

The topic of my post was all Norman and June! It turned into a meet and greet with the Fuzz Balls! Tammy's post was hijacked by her cat, Rosco, and you should check that out too while you're over there! He looks pretty smashing in his red hat!

Have you done any guest blogging lately? Post a link so I can read them. I've been asked to do guest posts on another blog or two, and I can't wait to do those too!

Just a few items this week. The first pair of shoes is by Charles Jourdan, part of their Couture Collection! I think they are really pretty.

My little brother is coming to visit tomorrow! I am so excited to see him, and we're going to celebrate his 23rd Birthday! We don't get to see each other nearly as much as we would like, so it's always a wonderful when he gets a chance to come to New York. He's one of my favorite people ever! Fingers crossed for no major delays at the airport!

In case anyone missed this little prince, here's a recent photo of Norman-

It's Cold Out!

The last couple of days have been full of non-stop, heavy, cold snow! The big huge snowflakes you can catch or watch fall all the way to the ground. I don't really mind the snow, If I can stay home. So basically, the last two days have involved lots of hot tea, slippers and blankets, updating the Etsy shop, some cooking, kitty snuggling, and starting a new Knitting project.

I haven't knit in so long, I was a little worried I wouldn't remember how to cast my stitches on, but I managed to figure it out! Now my new cowl is knitting up nicely. There is nothing like cuddling up with a hot cup of Chai, and some warm Alpaca yarn to knit.

Yesterday I baked a delicious six-cheese Lasagna! I'm sure it's the best I've ever made, and it was the best I've tasted in a long time too! I love when cooking project go according to plan. I think The Boyfriend was pretty happy too.

Other than that, lots of new vintage in the shop this week, and stay tuned for another big shop update! Here's a picture of Norman, playing in a box - He is really bored, and I think he is wishing the snow would go away so he could go back outside to play...

It sure is nice to have some sweet faced company on a rainy day, while I'm getting some work done on the computer.

36 Gallon Picnic

Starting a new week, and bracing ourselves for another week of remodeling in the house!

To make the best of it, We had a pizza picnic on a rubbermaid tote.

And I've fashioned myself a great little cozy pillow spot for having company.
And by company, I mean Norman.

We went out today to take some orders to the post office, and stopped for coffee and thrifting on the way home. I found some seriously cute vintage things, and I can't wait to share them and get them listed in the shop!

What's your game plan for the week? How about the MONTH?
