Open My Heart

This one is more of a morning prayer, meditation, song...

OPEN MY HEART

Open my heart and let me see
The Lights that are dancing inside of me
My joys and Hopes they laugh out loud
My Love for Life as high as a cloud

Open my hands and let me build
Bridges to people as You have willed
Building homes with Light and Love
My hands are guided by Yours Above

Open my mouth let my voice sing
Songs that take flight as Angels wings
Let my message be strong and true
May Your melody shine through all I do

Open my ears and let me hear
The wishes of nature soft and dear
Sounds of the earth come talk to me
I hear His voice say "go out and be"

Open my feet so they may dance
Moving in Glory as I start to prance
Lift my feet up off the ground
As I dance with Angels all around

Open my eyes and let in Your Light
I see the goodness in all of Your might
Such beauty You paint with Your feather brush
In meadows and forests oh so lush

Open my senses and let me feel
The Glorious warmth of all that is real
Faith in what is and yet is unseen
With Light and Love all is serene

Open my soul and let Spirit soar
Inside I want so much more
Made in Your image of Love and Light
With Guardian Angels I now take flight

Open my mind that I may know
How to reach others as Light I sow
Your knowledge is vast as Your Love is wide
Guiding my life is God by my side

Open my life that I may see
The Glory of Spirit inside of me
Bless my words that they may teach
Love and Light to all they reach

Words Inside are Dancing

Like I've said in the past. Sometimes I just have to grab pen and paper and it's as if someone else is writing... This came so fast this morning, I had to grab a pen and the back of whatever was in front of me and jot it down... Talk about Random!!! :-D Whew!....
Oh well... I share it here anyway....

Words Inside are Dancing

Words fly across the page; Dark lines dancing by

First a funny jig; Then mixed in with a waltz

Words come in my mind; As music from the soul

Words are painting pictures; Though I can not draw

The paper fills up quickly; As the words keep dancing by

The music is internal; Illuminating from Light and Love

The image that I’m painting; Comes flooding in like thunder

Yet the flow is rapid; The music can’t be stopped

Spring, Summer, Fall; Give way to Winters cold

Yet every season too must come; To be a part of life

Today my thoughts are abstract; Yet to someone may make sense

I can not stop the flow; Of this almighty pen

So dance your inner dance; And feel your song inside

Your music’s just beginning; the tune is yours unique

Paint your life so full; With things that fill your soul

Go look outside and see; All the glories that there are

Then paint your song; And sing your pen and dance your inner dance

It’s love and Light that guide me; From thought to ink to paper

And then into your life I send; These words in random order

This must be my Picasso; Abstract in thought I paint;
I sing this song on paper; With ink and pen create;
These words inside are a dancing

on Being Different!

Thought for Today:
Today I will enjoy the fact that we are all different.
From http://www.thoughtfortoday.org.uk/

We are all uniquely human! How wonderful is that? In a day of “knock off” clothes, toys, etc…, we are a one and only one of a kind! Twins, triplets, etc… that’s still OK, no “knock offs” there either; you’re unique as well.

We are all different, each of us has a place that only we can fill. Imagine a rainbow, a flower, or a sky with only one color… Kind of bland wouldn’t you think? Instead we have so many colors its hard to see them all. Like human kind, we are different. I may have blue eyes, limp a little and need to loose some weight; you may have dark hair, dark eyes, and wear a prosthesis; yet someone else may have a curved spine or missing limb; someone has cancer, disease or is crippled; and someone else is without external blemishes… It takes all of these differences to make a wonderful masterpiece called human kind.! We are each brush strokes in this wonderful painting called Life. Without you the painting would not be complete. Without each of us, with all our differences, there would be a gap, a hole in the world, the universe.

I want to thank you for being you. For being different from me, from your neighbor, from the person across the globe. You are here to complete the Masters mural of life. Sit back today and take a look. People watch if you can. If you can’t see, then just sit back and listen to all the melodious sounds around. Can’t hear than touch everything, feel the Master’s sculptures around you. Concentrate on the differences; then imagine life with only one texture, one shape, one smell, one color, one sound,…..ummmm …. Not very exciting is it?….

Now go and celebrate all the differences we have. Enjoy the symphony of life, the sound of rain falling, the warmth of the sun, the Rainbow after the storm, the taste of fresh spring water, the scent of life, a newly mown lawn, a barbecue, a flower, etc… Enjoy Life!! Enjoy today!! Enjoy each other, those close by and those across the sea. We are many hues and brush strokes in this Glorious Masterpiece called Life!

Now go Celebrate all that is different and Enjoy your Life!

Smile

Thought for Today: Smile

Of all the things you wear, your smile is the most important. (from
www.thoughtfortoday.org.uk )

My Smile goes out to each of you today....

How Simple yet important; smile! Have you ever walked into a room of frowns or stern faces? Did it immediately affect you and your mood? Even if the room is quiet and serious, have you ever caught that one person that smile's at you? A genuine, hello, how are you, don’t worry its OK smile. Didn't you immediately feel calmer? Wasn't your spirit just a little lighter?

There are many smiles. That smile of support, of friendship, of letting you know you’re not alone, of love, of pure silliness and laughter, a smile of TGIF, etc…. A smile can illuminate the soul. It can brighten someone else’s day more than you may know. A smile is like a rainbow, it brightens the day, lifts the spirit, and brings a sence of Joy, Peace and Hope.

A Smile can also brighten your own day. If you’re a little down, smile anyway and it won’t take you long to see people smiling back. Your mood will lighten as you see your smile returned.

So SMILE Today. Spread a warm blanket over someone’s soul. Illuminate the darkness; Spread that feeling of support, joy, acknowledgement of another….. Just SMILE it costs nothing but does SO Much!! Smile its contagious!

May the Light of a Smile brighten your soul today; May the warmth of a smile warm your heart today; And May the Spirit of a smile lift you today to heights you never knew were possible.

Love, Light and a Smile to you today and always,
Nina P. (3/27/09)
Written in honor of my nephew Richard. Who's Smile would light up a room, and who's Giggle was contagious. Thank You Richard for the love and joy you brought us all. We still feel the Joy, Warmth and Hope of your smile in every rainbow....

A Day To Celebrate!! Happy Birthday!!!

A DAY TO CELEBRATE

A day to celebrate the year of your birth
A day to celebrate with joy and mirth

A day to celebrate all that has past
A day to celebrate memories that last

A day to smile and even giggle
A day to laugh and wriggle and wriggle

A day to celebrate with family and friend
A day where many rules can bend

A day of joy to celebrate
A day calories don’t count on what you ate

A day of Blessings from God Above
A day of Thanks for His Great Love

A day to celebrate all of your life
A day to be Blessed and free from strife

A day to Thank God for His gift so true
A day to sing Happy Birthday to you!!

Happy Birthday to you!

Life and Rainbows (inspired by an e-mail)

The rainbow pictures are the only ones I took. The others were in the e-mail that was sent around a few years ago.... I hope you enjoy!

I had to write this poem below; a Hand touched mine, so here it goes:

Life and Rainbows:

When you look at life with hateful eyes
all you see is fear and lies
If you look at life with eyes of fear
bleak and hopeless are always near
So look at life with Faithful Love
the Son shines on you from above
Your fear will fade and so will hate
look around and you'll see your fate

For on the bleakest of your days
you'll find something to be amazed

With one special moment or maybe event
like a family of ducks is what He meant

To look at life with Forgiving Grace
the wave you missed, the dolphins raced

When angered over catastrophic things
you survived because of Angels wings

So turn your stresses inside out
helping others is what it's all about

Look around when you're lost and alone
many new friends are near your home

Luck comes from love and those you touch
your life will change I know that much

When some look on and laugh and point
stand strong in Faith for He anoints

With Power and Grace you'll carry on
His strength you can always rely upon
His Rainbow is there we just have to look
after each hardship as He wrote in His book
So when life's been hard and you’re feeling down
that "Rainbow's" for you just look around

It may be a smile, some food, or His great art
a feeling of warmth that fills your heart.
Look at life with open eyes
a rainbow's there, it's His surprise
So let your breath be taken away
look for His Blessings in every day.
