Wordless Wednesday (with a few words)

Alexa's first day of Kindergarten went (in her words), "Totally Awesome, Mom!"
We sat on the couch and she answered my millions of questions and told me all about her day.
She didn't know any of the kids in her class, but recognized some of the kids on her bus from soccer over the summer. Ms. McCloskey is really really fun and the bus ride was the best.
She can't wait to go back today, because they might get to play in the gym.
I held myself together until Alexa was on the bus and out of sight, but then burried my face in Adam's chest and lost it. I'm so proud of Alexa for being such a big brave, confident, independant girl. She even said she helped a little boy that was feeling sad, by telling him that Kindergarten is fun and he should be happy.

P.S.
We had a GREAT Labor day weekend, with a little bit of labor (because I consider taking Alexa school shopping labor) and a lot of RNR. We enjoyed a nice visit with Adam's Mom and Dad in Albert Lea, got to meet Adam's brother's fiance's extended family, ate yummy food and like I said....took Alexa school shopping. We also had a neighborhood bonfire Sunday night. They kids had a blast playing around the yard together and the adults engaged in some good conversation. Monday was spent shopping for groceries, vegging out in front of the TV and watching Alexa and Lillians fashion show.
