In order for all of my readers to get to know Mikhaila a little better, She was kind enough to answer some questions for us!

Tell us a little about yourself and your adorable blog:
"My name is Mikhaila, I'm 25 and live in NY (about an hour and a half train ride to NYC). I currently work with kids in foster care but just recently made the decision to go back to school and switch careers! I'm enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and am training to be a certified Health Counselor! I'm really excited about it and can't wait to have my own practice one day."

"I love everything vintage: clothing, shoes, accessories, house wares, and knick knacks..which is the reason why I decided to open my Etsy store. I started my blog because I wanted to network with other bloggers and promote my store. It has turned into so much more than that though! I've met some amazing people through blogging and I love having a creative outlet where I can share my love for photography, some outfit posts, trips I take, and just general lifestyle stuff! I'm thinking of ways I can incorporate my health counseling career into my blog too...maybe some recipes will pop up on there soon!"

(I can't wait to see some yummy healthy recipes up on her blog!)

What inspired you to start selling on Etsy?
"My love for vintage began probably 5 years ago, thanks to my sister. She moved to the city and when she used to come home for holidays I'd always admire her "new" style. She would have these awesome vintage pieces that I would always fall in love with....and so began my obsession. I think it helped that my college was really artsy and hippie-ish (suny new paltz anyone?) and dressing differently was not frowned upon like it was when I was in high school! My closet started exploding with vintage pieces, some that didn't even fit me but were too great to pass up. I was dreaming of the day I could open up my own little boutique in town but it never occurred to me that I could start an Esty store, until this past March. I just recently closed up my Etsy store "Thriftaway Vintage" to open "All The Pretty Birds Vintage". I wanted a fresh start with better quality pictures, more items, and a new name. I'm still learning all the ins and outs of selling on Etsy and being successful. I admire those Etsy sellers that can do this full time and hope that maybe one day I can do the same."

What other things do you love when you're not blogging or working on the shop?
"I love spending time with my family and friends. I have the cutest niece in the whole world, Elliette Grace, and would spend every minute with her if I could! I love to cook and feed people so I'm always having people over for dinner parties, wine, coffee...whatever! I enjoy reading and being outside doing something active like hiking, bike riding, walking around town. I'm really into photography and my town is really old and has great street art so I love to take pictures of that kind of stuff. I try to do Yoga as often as possible too, it's my favorite way to exercise and also unwind after a stressful work day! I love exploring new places and visiting local wineries, towns, gardens, parks, farmers markets etc. There is this Buddhist Monastery not too far from me that I like to go to every once in a while. I might be going this weekend so pictures to come!"
