First of all, Congratulations to Ashley for winning the $15 GC to EcoMom over the weekend.
I have a couple more fun giveaways coming up so be sure to stop back and enter to win.
Second of all, a huge huge thank you to all my faithful followers who stop by to visit every day. I can't believe how quickly my blog took off since I went 'public' with it. It's been so much fun. So many wonderful opportunities have come up and it's been such a blessing. Plus, I've met so many amazing new friends. Now if only I could just quit my day job and make blogging a full time gig! Ha!

Last night Alexa had her first play-date with a friend of hers from school. Little did we know, Hannah only lives 2 or so blocks away from us. Definitely 'walking distance' in the warmer months. Alexa and Hannah aren't actually in the same class together, but they ride the bus together each day, which is how they became quick friends. I was a little bit nervous, as it was her first play-date where I didn't know the family and I wasn't going to stay there with her. I knew she would be fine, but as a caring Mom, I wanted to get a feel for Hannah's family. Everything went just fine when I dropped her off. Alexa and Hannah were off and playing right away. I got a good vibe from the parents that they were normal enough to let my daughter be in their care for an hour, so it was all good. Lillian and I went home and had some one on one time together, which was nice. Time alone with her doesn't come that often, so I was excited. We played Barbie's. did their hair, changed their clothes, had them ride the little ponies..ect. Lillian was happy!! The hour went quickly and we were back to pick up Alexa. She had a ton of fun and was already asking when her next play date could be. Silly girl! We went home, just in time to watch a little of Dancing with the Stars. Then, we had to go pick up Adam at the car repair place. His car is losing anti-freeze, so it's in to get fixed today. We're not surprised, though, as something always seems to happen to it during the holidays. Grrr!!!
On our way home Adam was hungry because he hadn't eaten dinner. So, he asked if we wanted to go through the drive-thru at White Castle. He was telling the girls how awesome the 'little hamburgers' were. They got all excited about the smelly things (ick!) Alexa took one whiff and a tiny little bite and had enough. Lillian seemed to love hers. She said she was eating it and it was sooo good. A little later, she said she was done and handed me the little carton the hamburgers come in and I pulled out what was left of her hamburger. All she ate was one side of the bun. It made me laugh so hard. Adam ordered ones with jalapenos, so Lilli started telling the story of when our neighbor Dave at a 'peno' (peeno) and cried. It was so hilarious. She kept calling them peno's. You had to be there to get the whole effect of funniness!!
