Holiday Feature #5 - UUPP Prints + Giveaway

I am first and foremost a mother of three, and a happy wife. My "side" job is that of freelance illustrator, designer, professor and author. Typically I freelance for national and international companies. I love being an illustrator, not ever knowing what my next assignment will be. Some of my clients have been: Target, HGTV, New York Magazine, The Baltimore Sun, American Greetings and more. From illustrating children's books, greeting cards, comic books, animated commercials, character development, stationary, editorial work and more, there is great variety in what I do.
I started UUPP (Unique Uplifting Positive Prints) for a very special reason however. We all go through times of peace and times of difficulty. At some point we each have to face challenging periods in our lives. Over the last few years during some really difficult times and circumstances beyond my control, I relied on my faith, uplifting messages and positive people to see me through. I still am relying on those things each day. Being grateful on a daily basis is vital for me. Sometimes when we are tending to the needs of others, (to all of those moms out there) we forget about our own needs and can exhaust ourselves. Each day I cling to positive thoughts and gratitude to see me through the day. I have learned to stop and truly be present in each moment. I have learned to see the good and the joy in each day.
This is why I created the work in UUPP. I am absolutely loving creating the pieces in UUPP. It is full of inspiring messages of hope, love, laughter, faith, gratitude and peace. All the categories and the new work to come are the great loves in my life. From cooking (I love love Julia Child) to the escape my garden gives me, to watching great movies and reading great books (I admit I am a Jane Austin addict), to the importance of family, to always being a good friend to others and remaining strong in my faith no matter what. I love using textures from vintage papers and fabric, combining that with hand drawn typography and illustrations. Every time I sit down to create a new piece, I am in absolute bliss. I hope you enjoy.

I received this lovely "take time to do the things that make your heart SMILE" print from Carrie at UUPP.

It's impossible not to love this saying. I have it displayed in my kitchen and glance at it often to remind myself to take a deep breath, relax and do something that makes me SMILE, which is usually giving my husband and kiddos a little snuggle. They are my life and make me SMILE all the time. When life gets a little crazy, it's easy to forget to do those special little things that bring a smile to your face.

Carrie's amazing prints are truly inspirational and add that positive sparkle to your day.

Prints come in other color variations and sizes to fit your personal style and liking.

The images are printed on high-quality Epson matte paper with archival inks. They are carefully packaged and shipped in a sturdy mailer.

Everyone could use a little positiveness and inspiration in thier lives. Carrie's inspirational prints bring joy, laughter and a smile to your every day. These lovely prints would make great gifts this holiday.
