Holiday Feature #4 - Eclectic Cards by Amy

I'm 22, my love affair with paper and glue has lasted forever! I'm infamous in my family for my holiday cards. I've done some crazy Christmas cards. One year I made a treasure hunt for my sister where the cards started off super tiny and got bigger with each one she found. Another year I did the twelve days of Christmas on a card (hand drew everything from the partridge in a pear tree to the ten lords a leaping).
My current conquest is wedding invitations, and other wedding related crafts. My fiance proposed to me about a month ago before he left for Afghanistan to be Superman. He'll be out of the country for a whole year and I want the plan the wedding for as soon as I know he'll be back.
I started my Etsy account to expand my crafting hobby into some spare change for more crafting supplies. My biggest hope is that I can turn my Etsy site into my own card business. In my dream business there would be pictures of patterned paper and colors on the site, customers would pick whichever patterns and colors and occasion they like and I would design them 2 different cards which they could pick from. I would also like to start a scrapbooking business in the future. There are just so many possibilities with paper, glue, and scissors!

Amy at Eclectic Cards by Amy sent me the 2 holiday cards above to review. Her creativeness truly inspires me. For those of you who know me and know me well, know that I don't usually send cards with my gift. My husband and I would rather spend 4-5 extra dollars on the gift rather than by a cheesy card from the store that many others have the same of.
I like the idea of sending a card that has meaning and my own words to say exactly how I feel rather than the typical Hallmark greeting. A card made by Amy is definitely a card that I would be proud to send to family and friends.
Eclectic Cards by Amy features handmade cards for all occasions that have that special touch that will leave the recipient knowing exactly who that special card came from.

Amy can personalize the card inside for you, or leave it blank for you to add the finishing touches. Each card is creativly made with love and lots of time and detail.
Sending a card with your own words is much more meaningful and touching than a card with the same phrase on it as many other cards.
Whether it be a Baby Shower, Christmas, Thank You, Birthday or Just Because - send a card that shows you care. Going that extra step to give a special handmade card is what it takes to brighten someones day.
If you have an idea that is not shown in Amy's shop - be sure to contact her and tell her exactly what you're envisioning. She will work with you to create that special card that you desire.

I'm one of those Mom's who is super sentimental.
When my girls receive a special card for their Birthday's or just because - the ones that I save are the sweet handmade ones that are sent with love. They are the ones that are hung up on the fridge or displayed on the counter. They are the ones that we all love best.

and send a card with love!
