My name is Kristin, I'm 26 and loving every minute of life. I began my business venture just in the beginning of October of this year. It's grown incredibly quickly. I've sold around 350 hats by the middle of November. Not only having a business of my own, I am a wife to my incredibly understanding and patient husband and mother to 8 month old boy/girl twins and an almost 3 year old little girl. To put it lightly, I'm busy!!!
I have been yearning for a hobby since the twins were born. Yes, my children do keep me busy, but I wanted to do something OUTSIDE of being a Mommy. Don't we all?? I've thought of quilting, sewing and even a quick second thought about going back to work. When it started getting chilly this October, I went on a handmade website and searched for chunky hats to purchase for my kids for the cold weather. I'm a mom who LOVES matching my children. Whether it be all the same color, or similar style, I love coordinating everything. I searched high and low for hats, but being a stay at home mom and having my husband be the only provider, I couldn't justify spending $50-$60 per hat per child. They were lovely hats and I'm sure much time was spent on them but I couldn't financially swing it. So there it was, MY NEW HOBBY!!! My goal was to create a high quality cap, just like the ones I found online at a lower price point. I picked up a crochet needle and sat down with my mother (when all my children were peacefully asleep) and learned. I practiced and practiced and started showing my friends the things I had been creating. Everyone immediately encouraged me to check out selling them. So I did and here I am, the owner and designer of Cozy Cap Creations! I hope you enjoy! I love making and creating designs and can make many hats from photos.

This Cozy Cap made me smile from the moment I took it out of the package. The bright colors are absolutley brilliant. The very first feature that I looked for on this hat was the braided yarn down the side - it's crocheted into the hat and not just attached as a seperate piece. As I've seen in many store bought manufactured hats, we always seem to loose these accessories because they are not properly attached all the way throughout the hat, just sewn into the side, which leaves us buying several winter hats for our kids a year. Kristin's Cozy Cap Creations are definitley quality made. The yarn is soft and stretchy leaving room for growth. It's important to us parents to buy items for our children that can withstand the abuse of the active lifestyles. This is for sure a hat Alexa will be wearing for a long time and one that will be passed on to her little sister.
