I'm SO PROUD of my Lilli Bugs

One day last week when I went to go pick up the girls from school, I stopped by Alexa's room and she came with me to pick up Lillian in the toddler room. There were a few other parents in there as well picking up their children. As always, I asked Ms. Alli how Lillian's day was and in a loud enough voice for all the other parents to hear she raved about my daughter. She said things like, Lillian is by far my best listener in this class, she is my 'good example', she has the best manners, she has the longest attention span..ect. Not able to wipe the huge grin off my face, I smothered Lillian with kisses, telling her how proud I was of her. Oh, and just so ya know, in case you didn't, Lillian is THE YOUNGEST one in the class. She just moved up to the older toddler class when she turned 2, which was at the beginning of October. Ms. Alli could not say enough good things about my little Lillian. I was such a proud Mama, just glowing.

Previous to these wonderful comments, when Lillian JUST moved to that class there was some issues with her hitting and scratching her friends. Both her teachers, Ms. Alli and Ms. Keiya made it clear that Lillian was not the only one who was going through this 'phase'. They assured me that this kind of thing tends to happen when they move up, they are the new kids and need to prove themselves or something. They also mentioned to me that Lillian is the ONLY one in the class that ever stands up for herself, which can tend to make it look like Lillian is the bully when she is really just defending herself. I took it as a compliment as well as an issue we need to work on. I'd rather her use her words, than her hands, but I'm proud she is a strong little girl and won't allow herself to be picked on. Again, we just need to work on her using her words. And she says plenty of words. When she turned 2, it was like something in her brain said, I should be talking now and just like that, she did.

I've noticed at home, too, that Lillian has such great manners. Something that she could definitley teach her big sister. Please, Thank You and You're Welcome are a huge part of Lillian's wonderful vocabulary. I'm so so proud of her!! I love you Lilli-Cruz!
