Welcome to the first ever official Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop. Verve turns two today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! The party kicked off over on the Verve blog, so if you’ve just happened along, be sure to hop on over there to start from the beginning! But of course, it wouldn’t be a mystery if you knew which blog, would it? First, I would like to say congratulations to Julee and her team for two great years of wonderful Verveness! As my card says, Your're the Best! I knew I wanted to create my card using Verve's signature colors of chocolate and aqua and this Abbey Road cardstock from Bo Bunny was perfect. It looks like Julee could have designed it. My card used a base of Gina K's PL Chocolate base weight cs and the aqua layer is from my stash. I then layered the Abbey Road cardstock on top. I followed with another layer of aqua, chocolate and aqua. For the top layer of aqua I inked one of the designs from the Kindred Spirits set with Versamark Dazzle Champagne ink and created a very subtle background. The frame was inked with Espresso Adirondack and stamped onto a scrap of aqua. I added the sentiment with Espresso ink as well. I stamped the frame a second time and cut it out and layered over the first image. I then added the chocolate satin ribbon/bow and some Glossy Accents to the top layer of the frame and then finished it off with two sizes of chocolate pearls from Kaisercraft.
