Oh how I have come to love the collections from SEI and they have done it again. My two favorites were Mimosa and Bridgeport (both shipping in February). Here is a picture of the Mimosa collection. I love the pinks, corals and oranges so much. I can't wait for this to arrive! Yes, that means we did order it. I will share pics of Bridgeport next.
hugs,
Boy am I tired! I always look forward to CHA every year and this year was no different. There is so much to see and do in such a little amount of time. I took alot of pictures and will do my best to get them sorted, edited and uploaded a little later today. We even had to evacuate the convention center at one point on Monday. Lucky for us, we were close to the door at the time.
I will post the winner of my Confections a little later today. I will be combining the comments from my Nearing 10,000 and Confections, oh sweet Confections posts and put everyone's name in a jar and have Jon pick one when he gets home from school today. I will also be sending a little something to the person who sent the most people my way. I truly appreciate all of the comments I received.
hugs,
I am so EXCITED! I will be leaving in about 30 minutes to pick up my friend Robin and we are heading to So Cal for CHA. Today, we will stop at Judi-kins for a little pre CHA fun and the gals from Printworks will be there too! I just hope I get down there before traffic gets too bad on the 405 freeway. LOL
Tomorrow, I have my Copic Certification class during the day and the SEI party in the evening. Sunday, the show begins! Monday morning is the Spellbinders class and Tuesday morning is the Watercolor class with the amazing Jerri Jiminez! During all of this we will be walking the show floor and checking out all of the goodness to be seen.
If you see one of us walking about with our "Cat's Meow" denim shirts on, be sure to grab us and introduce yourself.
Just a reminder for those of you that live nearby, we will have a catalog drooling (oops, I mean show and tell) at the store on Saturday Jan 31. I hope to have learned enough in my Copic class to do a little demo that day as well.
Ah, one last note...........send all of your friends over to sign up for my Confections that I will be giving away when I get back.
I am not taking Mr. Lappy with me, but I hope to check my e-mail from somewhere along the way.
hugs,
Happy
New
Year!
I would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year! I would like to thank everyone who has stayed with me this year. Before I know it I will be nearing 10.000 hits and I will be offering up some Confections!
I won't make any resolutions this year (as I never follow through), but I am going to try real hard to: 1) Send all of my peeps a birthday card this year. 2) complete every Mojo Monday sketch (even if they are late) and 3) water my house plants (all two of them)........ha.......ha..........that last one is pretty knee slappin' funny! I know someone else who is going to try that one too, I wouldn't hold either one of us to it though. Oh and I hope to blog at least once a week. One down and 51 to go!
I am really looking forward to attending CHA this year. Robin and I will leave on Friday 23rd and Sharon and Al will come down Sunday morning. Robin is taking a few classes on Saturday and I will be attending the Copic Certification. I don't have any Sunday classes, but I think Robin does. I am also excited about taking Jerri's Watercolor class on Tuesday morning. That gal can use a Tombow marker like nothing I have ever seen. You can check out her AWESOME blog A Touch of Grace here.
I spent a little time today practicing with my Copic markers. I stamped an Impression Obsession floral image several times and colored each one with a different color combo and I will be making cards out of them this week. Stay tuned for the pics.
Hugs,
that I get into the Copic Certification class in January during Winter CHA. I have to submit my application in the morning. Promptly at 9:00am and then keep my fingers crossed that I am accepted. I sure hope so because we are considering stocking the markers at the store and it would be great to learn from the pros at Copic.
Keep your fingers crossed for me,
