I was so happy to see the sun this morning, but I was dragging, big time. I stayed up far too late and didn't sleep well. Alexa got a little freaked out about all the talk of the Osama Bin Laden killing and while I think we did a good job explaining it all to her (in a 6 year old kind of way), she was still a little shaken up about the bad guys and blood and killing. This all led to her wanting to sleep with Adam and I. So, this morning when I got up, showered and ready for work..I came out of the bathroom and saw my 3 favorite people cuddled up in my bed. Adam was holding Alexa and I crawled back in for a minute and held onto Lillian. Adam grabbed my hand and we wrapped ourselves around out little babies. We were all together and safe and it felt so good. Alexa and Lillian were sound asleep and I was looking directly into Alexa's face. I stared at her for a long time. She looked exactly like she did the moment I first laid eyes on her when she was born. Her skin was pink and soft, her eyelashes were dark and long and her lips were as red as can be. I was totally in the moment and enjoying remembering her as a baby. Then, in a split second it all disappeared as my husband let out a huge giant fart. I glared at him, like seriously Babe...you just ruined my moment...and then he looked at me and said the sweetest most disgusting thing in the whole world.."Babe, my body is just filled with so much love for you, it's just seeping out of me".
Don't be jeal....he's all mine ladies...all mine. ;)
