Emily over at Family and Life in Las Vegas and Lolo at Crazy About My Baybah have teamed up for a fun new blog hop! Toddler Talk Thursday is a place for moms and dads of toddlers to talk about a weekly topic that relates to toddlers. It's also a great time to meet other bloggers who have toddlers! This week's topic is Toddler Fun Outside the Home: Fun and Educational Activities. Our Family spends every possible moment outdoors. (Unless there is 100% MN humidity or a trillion mosquitos out to suck our blood) Here are some fun activities that are a huge hit with not only my kids, but my hubs and me, too! 1.) Long bike rides! At the beginning of the summer we purchased a bike trailer for our girls. Alexa is able to ride her bike on her own, but Lillian has a hard time keeping up on her little trike. Besides, sometimes it's just easier for Adam and I to ride along at our own pace, knowing the girls are both tucked in the trailer safe and sound. We've found some really nice bike trails around our neighborhood and have especially enjoyed the nature trails through the woods. 2.) The sprinkler park (that's what we call it, anyways). There is nothing better than water on a hot day, in any form. The sprinkler park is a great way to keep cool in the summer sun. My kids love it because there is the water park AND a playground. 3.) Wednesday night concerts in the park. A park in our area features a different band every Wednesday night. We bring out our lawn chairs and lay out a blanket in the grass and enjoy all different styles of music. The girls dance and I'm usually caught tapping my feet and singing along. What activities outside the home do you and your toddler enjoy doing most?
