APRIL FOOLS

A few days ago, Alexa started telling me about this "trick" she wanted to play on daddy. She went on and on about something about "putting salt on his back". I was a little confused, but tried to play along and told her that would be funny. It wasn't til this morning when she reminded me of it that it occurred to me she wanted to play an April Fools joke on him. They must have been talking about it at school, and I don't know if the whole "putting salt on his back" was something she came up with on her own, or something her teachers prompted. But, she was excited about playing her joke, so I played along with her. Since we (or I should say I) are not really creative, we just had daddy sit on the chair and close his eyes while we sprinkled salt on his head. Alexa had him open up his eyes and then shake his head to have all the salt fly all over the place. We laughed and Alexa was happy to play her April Fools joke.

Note to all of you...Be aware when Alexa has you "close your eyes".

So after all of that this morning, would you believe Adam "got me", too?

Alexa had a puppet show at her school this morning at 9:30 that she wanted to go, so she came to work with me so I could just run her over there when it started. In the hastiness of getting Alexa ready this morning I had forgotten my lunch, so Adam and Lilli brought it to me before he dropped her off at school. It was fun to have both girls at the office this morning. All my co-workers love them and can't believe how big they've gotten.
So not 10 minutes after he and Lillian left, he called and was so excited. He had just talked to Vic and said WE GOT THE HOUSE!! I screamed with excitement and right when I was about to start to hyperventilate, he said "APRIL FOOLS".
Now how mean is that?


(I left a message for Vic to have him call Adam and tell him we DIDN'T get the house...I'm waiting for him to call back to say he'll play along.)
