So much was accomplished, yet so much yet to do...

As always, Adam was home Friday when the girls and I came from work and school. He's so lucky to have slack hours on Friday's. He was able to do some yard work tho, between the little sprinkles of rain we got. Mainly, he pulled all the weeds and flowers from the area where we are going to have our garden this year. I have to admit, I was a little surprised that he was coming around to the whole 'garden' idea because it's usually me with the great ideas and then Adam who does all the work.
He'd also gone out and rented us a few movies. We kept getting interupted by the nice weather, and few phone calls so didn't get the movie started until about 8:30. Alexa and Adam stayed up until the end of Free Willy but, Lillian and I konked out on the couch and finished the rest in the morning. The girls wanted me to have a slumber party with them on their bunk beds, so I slept together with them that night. I loved snuggling close to them. They've been so good at sleeping in their own beds all night. (I kinda miss them).
It was so windy Saturday, but we spent most of our time outdoors anyways. Alexa played with Maddie for awhile, Lillian and I went to Michael's to shop and Adam tilled the garden. Lillian and I bought some cute wooden letter's that spell SISTERS to hang in their room. Adam and Dave were discussing our garden when we got back and Alexa and Maddie were dancing in the girls' bedroom. Adam was all anxious to start the garden, so that afternoon we took the girls and bought our seeds. They had a blast picking out what kind of vegetables they wanted to plant. They were coming up with all sorts of suggestions, some of which I had never heard of. We got most of our seeds at Menards but went to Home Depot for the tomato's. I was thinking that we'd kinda take the night to plan out the layout of the garden, but Adam wanted it done. So, we just kinda winged it and did all the planting when we got home. For it being our very first garden and us just winging it, I actually think we did quite well. Now we just sit back and pray that we have veggies that grow this summer.
After a quick dinner, Alexa went with Tori and Erica to the park and Adam and I took Lilli out back for a game of horseshoes. Jamie and Dave and all the kids joined us later. Considering Jamie had a bum ankle from playing softball, we did really well. Of course, not well enough to beat the guys, but very close. We had some good come-backs.
I worked on scrapbooking the SISTERS letters Sunday morning and the girls made their own projects. Adam mowed the neighbors lawn and dug up the sidewalk lights in the front yard that don't work so we can put new solar ones out there. We had a couple nice visits from the neighbors and my brother Ben came to grill. I gave the girls baths and Alexa made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe. We made bracelets and ate icecream. Then off to bed.
