Mom, Dad, Tiny and Courtney were down for Twinsfest. They arrived Friday night and it was non-stop fun the rest of the weekend.
While the guys and Courtney went to Twinsfest on Saturday, my Mom and I took Alexa and Lillian to the Children's theatre in Minneapolis to see the production of, Mr. McGee and the Biting Flea. It was a great show and the girls sat and enjoyed it so much. We visited Ben at Parade Ice Garden's for a few minutes before meeting Dad, Adam, Tiny and Courtney at McDonald's for lunch.
We stopped at Abdullah Chocolate factory for some tasty treats before heading home. Delicious!
The Miss America pageant was on, so we ordered pizza from our favorite pizza place, Pilot Knob Pizzeria, and watched Miss Virginia take the crown. What happened to Miss Oklahoma Tiny, huh?? We stayed up (way too late) and played Catchphrase and Scatergories. We made cookies and laughed til we cried.
After over an hour of nobody being able to make a decision on where to eat for lunch on Sunday, Adam said we were going to Culvers. We ate and ate and ate and ate some more, ice cream, too. The girls went to Jo-Ann Fabric to pick out some material for my mom to make me some kitchen curtains. The fabric we picked is perfect and I LOVE IT! We stayed separated, guys and girls, and took Courtney prom dress shopping. She tried on 7 gorgeous dresses at Macy's and we fell in love with three of 3 of them, a black one, a reddishy salmon one and a dark royal blue one. Boy, am I glad I don't have to make the decision, because all 3 were such a close toss up. Lillian slept through the whole thing and Alexa was in 7th heaven helping Courtney in and out of her pretty dresses. What a fun 'girls' afternoon. We met the guys back at home and it was time for the family to head back to E.L.
Adam, the girls and I plopped on the couch and crashed for a good hour before getting up for dinner and baths. Our neighbor, Tori, had brought some of her toys that she's grown out of for the girls to play with. They were so happy. They had a picnic in the living room, read through a few of their new books, put puzzles together and put their Littlest Pet Shop house together. We watched some of the Grammy's and then off to bed...for some much needed sleep.
We thank Grandma Diane, Grandpa Tom and Tiny and Courtney for coming to spend the weekend with us. We had so much fun. Grandma Diane let the girls play with her lipstick and chapstick and Grandpa Tom colored and played Match Game with them. Alexa and Lillian absolutely adore their Uncle Tiny. His girlfriend, Courtney, is a HUGE bonus. We love her!
